The Thang: Originally, I called this workout 'pyramids' but we ended up going up "mountains" and down yoga "valleys" instead, so there ya go.
We started going up our first mountain by doing 10 reps of an exercise, then 20, 30, 40, and 50. We took a 30 second water break and then went back down the mountain with 50 reps, 40, 30, 20, 10. The exercises we did were:
- 10 push-ups
- 20 squats
- 30 mountain climbers
- 40 high knees
- 50 jumping jacks
After the water break:
- 50 jumping jacks
- 40 high knees
- 30 mountain climbers
- 20 squats
- 10 push-ups
In between our mountains, we went down yoga valleys with various poses, holding them from 45 seconds, 40 seconds, 35, 30, and 25 seconds and then back up. The yoga exercises were:
- pigeon pose (left side)
- thread-the-needle (left side)
- belly turning (left side)
- hug knees in chest
- child's pose
We kept alternating between these 'mountains' and 'valleys'. We repeated our mountains 3 times and valleys twice. Our total amount of reps for all 3 sets were:
- 60 push-ups
- 120 squats
- 180 mountain climbers
- 240 high knees
- 300 jumping jacks
