The Breakfast Club

AO: The Woodshed (Tanglewood Church)

Q: The Force

The Thang: We started with some yoga as our warm-up, starting with cat/cow. Then we lifted the hips up into downward facing dog (adho mukha svanasana) and did some hip circles and then went into upward facing dog (urdhva mukha svanasana). Then we did thread-the-needle (cakravakasana parivrtti) and pushed back into child's pose. 

The workout today was intervals/tabata, 45 seconds work, 15 second rest. We did 10 exercises per set with a minute break in between for a total of 3 sets. The exercises were:

  • jumping jacks
  • bicep curl into shoulder press
  • alternating reverse lunges
  • tricep extensions or overhead tricep dips
  • froggers
  • jump rope
  • Russian twists
  • plank jacks
  • bridges
  • dumbbell squat
 After we completed the third set, we cooled down with some yoga. We started with 90/90 switches, belly turning (jathara parivrtti), hugging knees into chest, and happy baby. Thank you for joining me ladies!
